There are a couple of reasons for poor quality playback. The most common reason for this is poor encoding of the music file. Check the playback quality of the file on your computer, bear in mind that the difference between hearing the playback through speakers and through earphones. It is also possible that the earphones are beginning to degrade from use. This is normal for earphones and they will not last forever. Please replace them.
