Laser shows off pocket-sized television
Laser Corporation has released its Pocket Digital TV range allowing users to view digital television on a handheld portable device.
The series includes the DVBT-C30 Classic C30, DVBT-MP32 Multimedia Plus and DVBT-ST35 Slim Touch all incorporating a built in antenna and 3.5-inch screen. The units allow users to view mainstream television channels such as ABC, Channel 7, 9 and 10, Prime, SBS, Southern Cross and WIN, as well as digital specific channels such as ACC, GO! and EXPO.
The unit also comes with an electronic program guide and digital FM radio and can be used overseas to receive free-to-air television in countries that broadcast in DVB-T format.
Other features include multiple languages and subtitling. The DVBT-C30 Classic C30 is able to double as a set-top box for home transition from analogue to digital television while the DVBT-MP32 boasts a diminutive digital video recorder (DVR) allowing program recording.
The DVBT-C30 Classic, DVBT-MP32 Multimedia Plus and DVBT-ST35 Slim Touch are available through distributors Ingram Micro and Synnex and retail at $149.95, $199.95 and $229.95 respectively.
